J and M Rentals owns four duplex apartments on Jaros Lane, located 5.5 miles south of Carbondale near Cedar Lake and about 5-10 minutes from the SIU campus. These apartments are owned by James and Melanie Smith.
One was built in 1996 and the other in 1997.
The Jaros Lane apartments feature:
- Quiet peacefull neighborhood in a rural setting
- 800 square feet of living space
- Two Bedrooms and one full bath
- Open kitchen/living area with breakfast bar
- Ceiling fans in both bedrooms, kitchen and living room
- Automatic dishwasher
- All electric with baseboard heat in all rooms
- Wall unit air conditioner
- Washer Dryer hook-up, or a washer and dryer can be provided for additional fee
- Satellite service available
- Internet Service Provider in local call distance
- Spacious front yard
- Private patio in back
- Parking for two vehicles
- Pets allowed with an additional $200 pet fee, for term of lease.
- Trash Pickup and Lawn Maintenance included
Terms of the Lease:
We ask for tenants to sign a one year lease.
We ask for one month's rent as a security deposit to hold the apartment. The first month's rent is then due the day the tenant takes posession of the apartment.
The last month's rent is then due within ninety days from the day the tenant takes posession of the apartment.
The Duplex Apartments are currently renting for $600 a month carpeted, $625 a month with laminate.
Directions:
 | Jaros Lane is located south of Carbondale off of Cedar Creek Road.
Follow U.S. 51 south out of Carbondale for approximately 2.5 miles, till you reach the intersection of Old Highway 51.
Turn right on to Old Highway 51, and drive for another half mile until you see Cedar Creek road on your right. Cedar Creek is the second asphalt road on the right past the intersection of Old and New 51.
Take Cedar Creek for approximately one mile to Poplar Camp Road, which is on the left.
Take Poplar Camp a quarter mile to Jaros lane on the left. Jaros lane is the second drive on the left, on Poplar Camp.
Once on Jaros, our apartments will be the third and fourth buildings on the left. They are white duplexes (one story), not townhouses (two story), with red brick trim, and dark red doors.
